There are more than 500 Chilean companies in Mexico, along with several executives holding prominent positions in Mexican companies. This fact led to the creation of the Association of Chilean Entrepreneurs in Mexico (Acemx).

Sebastian Barros, president of Acemx, has organized the first event for July 5th, with the expectation of bringing together more than 70 people in Mexico City. The premise is to recruit partners for the association, as well as strategic partners like Amazon Web Services and ProChile, who are already part of it, along with notable mentors.
Barros, also the regional vice president of sales at the multinational company Ericsson and an entrepreneur with two of his own companies, one in artificial intelligence called MOOCOW and another in customer service automation, explains that they started this year with a podcast that interviews Chileans in Mexico, titled “El 10%: Emprendedores sin Frontera – chilenos que emprenden en México” (The 10%: Entrepreneurs without Borders – Chileans who undertake in Mexico). From there, the idea of forming an association arose.
The board of directors of Acemx has already been formed and includes Miguel Ángel Vergara, co-founder and CEO of Instance Latam; Francisco Kemeny, from DILL, SYMOVA, and advisor of Examedi; Matías Correa, from Sherpa WMC; and Javier Urzúa, finance manager of the event production company Prokart.
Next Wednesday, the first ACEMX Talks will take place, with the participation of Lina Peña from Elevar Equity, a venture capital firm; Tomás Durandeau, Chief Customer Officer of Walmart Mexico and Central America; and Patricio Mois, senior VP of global operations at Kavak, all of them Chilean. The moderation will be led by Miguel Ángel Vergara from Instance.
